Stunning homes ‘For Sale’ and ‘Sold’ in June.

In this month’s market comment, I have focused on what is actually happening in the local Guildford, Haslemere and Liphook property markets, rather than being drawn into the gloomy speculation that’s currently portrayed in the media.

It would be fair to say that you shouldn’t believe all you read in the press…

Whilst the local market is certainly not the fast-paced seller’s market of the first half of 2022, there remains plenty of buyer activity and with the less frantic market, there is a greater selection of properties for buyers to choose from.

The more relaxed market conditions allow buyers more time to look around, which is great news for those with a home to sell, as the current conditions give these buyers a chance to find their dream home with time to sell their property without too much concern about being beaten to it by another buyer.

Mortgages

The reality is, that there are more than 5000 mortgage products in the marketplace right now. And whilst news of increasing interest rates is grabbing the headlines, mortgage availability is still incredibly strong.

Some mortgage products were withdrawn, and some high street lenders temporarily limited their ranges, but these are now back in the market and will continue to lend.
